Master Path’s History

Sri Gary Olsen was born in 1948 in Minnesota and was exposed to the Light and Sound Teachings in India in 1964.  He then served in the Vietnam War in 1970 and Married his wife, 15 years later in 1985.  He began to familiarize himself with the teachings he experienced almost 20 years before in India.

He accepted his first student and founded Master Path in 1987.  As he continued spreading the word of the light and sound teachings for the next five years, he financed everything with his own money.  In 1992, he retired from his job as a contractor and registered Master Path as a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization in order to dedicate himself to the spread of knowledge.

As his followers grew in number he needed a better way to disseminate information so he wrote eleven books and numerous monthly study materials.  All the while, he kept on teaching, and has initiated thousands of followers.

Light and Sound Teachings

The Master Path claims to be the science of spirituality which aims to provide all followers with the knowledge and tools to attain “Self and God Realization”.  The essence of the Master Path is the passing on of knowledge provided by masters and contemporary saints.  Its main goal is to allow people to rekindle the connection between their souls and the “Sound Current” (force of the universe) regardless of race, gender, or spiritual preferences.

The vow required of all initiates is that they practice moderation in their lives and perform spiritual exercises for 15 – 20 minutes daily.  Students of the Master Plan pay a monthly due of $30 to help to maintain the non-profit organization and provide reading and study materials.
