A Black and White Affair: Sacred Heart School Gala Auction

A Black and White AffairOn Saturday, February 8th, Seattle’s Westin Hotel in Bellevue will be home to Sacred Heart School’s biggest fundraiser.  The Gala Auction dinner will be held in the grand ballroom starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Event

Sacred Heart School’s “Black and White Affair” this year is officially the biggest community-building and fundraising event they have ever hosted.  They sent out invites for family, friends, and community supported who wished to attend in January and encouraged them to recommend to the event to as many people as they could.  The event will consist of silent and live auctions where literally hundreds of amazing items and packages will be auctioned off to the highest bidders.

Why are they doing it?

The answer to this question is simple.  The school is hosting this event in order to celebrate the gift of education for the children and the opportunity to raise and educate the children in a strong catholic faith based environment.  The event is sponsored by the “Parent’s Club” and according to the organizers, all of the proceeds of the night’s event will go directly to paying for on-going operational expenses.  To be more specific, the funds raised will be used to pay teachers, to minimize the increases in tuition and most importantly, to enhance the academic programs offered by Sacred Heart.

When they were organizing the event, the “Parents Club” requested that each family provide a “gift” valued at $100 or more if possible to be sold at the auctions.  Because of this, all the items for the event will be donated parents of students in the school, and some sponsors who agreed to support a worthy cause.

Remember that parking for this once in a lifetime, Sacred Heart’s Black and White Affair, will be hosted by Ace Parking.
